Non-profits share many of the insurance and risk management needs of
for-profit companies. However, many non-profits believe that statutory
protections eliminate the need for insurance protection. While these statutory
protections serve to reduce the cost of their insurance, especially third
party liability insurance, the need is not diminished. Fund raising activities,
